DETAILS OF DEBATE 7

Latitudes invites the Latin American academic community in Australia, students and general public to its seventh session this year. In this special occasion, we will welcome the visit of two Latin American community activists in Australia, who are survivors and were direct protagonists during the Chilean dictatorship (1973-90) and El Salvador’s civil war (1980-92). Both testimonies will give a first-person account of the recent history of these countries. The dialogue will be held on Friday September 5, 2014, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at room 310, Morven Brown building, UNSW Kensington Campus (see parking details). See the details of presentations at UNSW School of Humanities and Languages site or here. Finally, the audio recordings of sixth debate from August 22 about Chilean immigration can be listened here.
